Chris Hastings is an experienced and accomplished trial lawyer specializing in injury cases of all types, including cases involving railroad injuries/FELA claims, wrongful death, maritime injuries/Jones Act claims, trucking accidents, automobile accidents, motorcycle accidents, construction site injuries, explosion-related fatalities and injuries, product liability, animal bites/attacks, tainted foods, toxic torts, and slip/trip and fall injuries. Mr. Hastings also specializefes in representing individuals in insurance disputes and claim denials, including auto insurance claims, life insurance claims, homeowners insurance claims and all other types of insurance matters.

Mr. Hastings is a 1994 graduate of the University of Detroit School of Law, and was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1994. Since then, Mr. Hastings has practiced exclusively within the injury law field.  While in law school, Mr. Hastings clerked at some of the top personal injury plaintiff and defense firms in Michigan.

Following graduation from law school and bar admission in 1994, Mr. Hastings spent three years as a member of a highly respected insurance defense law firm. During that time, his practice consisted primarily of defending personal injury cases for insurance companies and large corporate defendants. The time Mr. Hastings spent defending injury cases has given him a perspective that has proven invaluable in helping injured persons to achieve the best possible results in their own cases.

Since 1997, Mr. Hastings has devoted his practice exclusively to representing victims of accidental death and injury, first at a highly respected personal injury law firm where he became a named partner, and now at The Hastings Law Firm as a successful sole practioner.  Over the course of the past 10 years Mr. Hastings has personally handled cases resulting in some of the largest annual settlements and jury verdicts to injured persons in the State of Michigan.

Mr. Hastings is a member of the American Association for Justice (formerly ATLA-American Trial Lawyer's Association) Railroad Law Section; the Michigan Association for Justice (formerly MTLA--the Michigan Trial Lawyer's Association); the Negligence Section of the State Bar of Michigan; and the Oakland County Bar Association. Mr. Hastings is admitted to practice in all Michigan trial and appellate courts, federal courts, and in the United States Supreme Court.
